January transfer window 19/20 season Post Mortem

Gibson doing rehab at Rockliffe to get himself ready for his move back to Burnley’s bench.

Relationship can’t be that bad if Burnley are letting him do it otherwise he’ll be racking up an awful lot of fines. I would have thought Boro wouldn’t let him do it if Burnley weren’t ok with it, especially if we’re wanting to do business with them and sign him...even if he is the chairman’s nephew.

😂 apologise if it is rubbish.

Just random for him to post it.

I wouldn’t worry because it’s inspired some light hearted banter which is a good thing.

is he insured to do that? I would have thought you have to do your rehab under your contracted club doctor/physio for insurance purposes?

I hope Kim Jong Dyche doesn't find out that Gibson is training here. They'll be hell on.

That is a very valid point.... unless a deal has been struck

It’s Ryan Shotton

Are people confusing Gibson with Shotton? They couldn't look much more different 😂

I get the feeling Dyche knows and isn't happy about it.

I know chances of Britt leaving are slim anyway but two clubs who been linked with him are Fulham and Leeds. Fulham signed Bobby Reid permanently from Cardiff and Leeds are close to a loan deal for Kevin Augstein. Leipzig striker currently on loan at Monaco.

Another club credited with interest in Britt in past, Bristol, are closing on Nakhi Wells apparently.

I think a lot the Britt speculation came from that northern echo report.. pretty much everything after referenced that article. The interesting thing is who tried to put his name out there.. his agent or the club?

If Britt leaves it’ll only be for a struggling Prem club with money like Villa or West Ham. But I think they want a more proven striker if they should strengthen. He’s staying.

If Leeds don't have a striker in by deadline day they might put a desperate bid in for Britt

    • Great news OMG it will be good to keep the PL going it's a great feature and good fun. MM you underplay you're efforts, fantastic job for the last few seasons, I'm sure on behalf of the forum a big thank you for all your hard work and frequent updates. I hope you continue to take part.
    • Are we ready for a relegation battle? No. Are we more ready for a relegation battle than the teams around us (which is perhaps the more important question)? Time will tell. I have my concerns, though. Charlton in particular came out of pre-season much more strongly than we did, and we are kind of restarting the season again after another preseason.  I'm not confident that Woodgate has the managerial experience to get us to be where we need to be in terms of preparation and match sharpness by the end of this mid-season preseason.
    • My worry is our goalscoring, if teams get in front we'll then struggle & with the new rules of 5 subs per game teams will just kill games We are as bad as the other 5, 6 teams at the wrong end with not much breathing space between us all, whoever starts late in the mini bottom league will go down  Defensively we're fine, IMHO,
    • Didn’t realise Taylor was 30. Thought he was a young up-and-coming
    • Agree. I think a lower end PL team will take a punt on him as a 2nd or 3rd choice striker. They got little to lose. Free transfer and if they offer him even 15k it will probs triple his current wages.
