Roberts is done. As someone has said, Ayala is on £25k a week. Don’t know what he’s been offered but I can’t believe it would be £5k. Randolph is gone, assume it’s West Ham.    5 more

He’s already under contract. If they buy him, having failed their medical, I highly doubt they could get insurance for him. Ours won’t be affected

True, never thought of the insurance factor.

I'd say the Randolph sale is off.

Our incoming business will be complete unless we free up some wages and receive a little bit of money. (Barring uncle Steve bringing Ben back)

I'd expect Shotton to leave.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see his career finished. I just don't think he's good enough for us anymore.

He is experienced and is not a bad option from the bench I guess.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7882717/Darren-Randolph-passed-fit-Middlesbrough-despite-West-Ham-having-hold.html

'Sportsmail understands Hammers put the move on hold, not because the injury hasn't sufficiently healed, but rather over concerns the keeper could suffer a recurrence of the problem given he has only recently recovered which would raise obvious questions over the medical.'

They say West Ham are still hopeful but honestly if they're simply worried about Randolph possibly reinjuring himself quickly even though he's technically fit to play then I don't know where we stand if you approach transfers that way you'd never sign anyone and if after assessing him for a week you're still terrified he'll limp off on debut how will waiting an extra few days change your mind?

On the other hand if we play him after seeing the results of the medical, surely we would be negligent. Especially if his injury gets worse and has an adverse effect on his career?

If we finish with bringing in Gibbo after Roberts and Nmecha I’d be happy.

Think we could do with another winger for the left but a front 3 of Roberts - Fletcher - Tav is a big improvement.

Keeping the best keeper in the league isn’t the worst thing in the world...
