Match Facts (courtesy of the BBC):

Derby have won only four of their past 24 league matches against Middlesbrough (W4 D6 L14).

Middlesbrough are unbeaten in their previous four away league matches against Derby (W2 D2 L0) since losing 2-1 in December 2013.

Derby have lost only three of their previous 29 home league matches (W16 D10 L3), winning three in a row.

Only Barnsley (13 games) are on a longer current winless run in the Championship than Middlesbrough (7 games).

Derby have not lost consecutive league matches since losing three in a row in February-March 2019.

Only Wigan Athletic (7) have failed to score in more Championship matches this season than Middlesbrough (6).

Have to say I'm feeling a bit less confident now. Also wondering how Mejias is feeling? Still can't get a game and considered a sub to a youngster like Pears.

The 'spend more money' thing is weaponized by people like Vickers and the club it's just a popular generalization used by alot of Boro fans the past 5 years that they love to face imo, going forward t

Hey folks...first time I've done one of these in a long time, so be gentle!     Summary Boro travel to Derby with a realistic chance of getting something from this fixture. W

Boro fans: He should have walked home, he should have walked home, Richard Keogh, he should have walked home

Anyone who claims that our squad should doing better than it is just has to look at that lineup. This is around the correct level. And it's going to get worse before it gets better over the next two windows. Scary.

Craig Ramage on BBC Tees regarding the Keogh/Lawrence/Bennett situation:

"Drink driving is obviously a no-no."

Bit of an understatement that, mate.

I think our best hope is that the incident is causing a bit of turmoil at the club and puts them off their game.

Bit annoyed with Woody's comments on BBC Tees there. Says he's not bothered about fans being worried about the position we're in, he's only interested in what the chairman thinks.

Why?

Should he go around with a scared attitude?

He has to feel confident, to get the players to feel confident ..

If he believes that what he sees on the training pitch will eventually take us out of the bottom fight, then that should his carrot to aim for.. Not fear of fans opinions..

Thats what I thought. We've sold a few players, its true, but its not massively different.

The biggest change has been the guy in charge. Woody obviously doesn't have anything like Pulis' experience. Think he could desperately do with some help from someone who does. Similar to how we brought Venables in to help Robson, towards the end of his time in charge.

Mikel, downing, besic, flint, vlp, dimi all had upper championship quality, despite them all dividing fans - each of them are now doing  better than our team currently is. That's a massive difference.

He probably is concerned about the performances, results and the club's position...but he's not going to say that publicly...and very few managers would.

The problems will be dealt with (hopefully) in private.

Fans are notoriously fickle anyway... 😉
