The Mystic Meg Goal

Recommended Posts

For all you guys who think they are potential Mystic Meg's and part time clairvoyants please tell us who and which game the next Boro goal will be scored by a Boro player.

Also the manner in which the goal was scored.

If anyone is correct I shall be coming to you for the lottery numbers!

Alternatively your best guess!

Paddy McNair slams one home from just inside the box against Derby in the 75th minute. Unfortunately we are already 3-0 down.

I'm completely disillusioned by the sorry state of my club. I have lately contemplated whether I should stay away from the forum, as I'm currently wildly pessimistic and when I read my posts back it's perhaps too pessimistic and just creates a bad mood. I really hope that Woodgate turns it around but sadly I just don't see it. There is a slight glimmer of hope in the fact that we haven't conceded in two games now though.

Hold on to the hope BD. He has changed the shape and we do look more solid for it. A win would give a lift to everybody. Keep the faith

It gets to us all....before I started watching the Boro, I had a full head of hair, eyes like a hawk and could run 100 metres in less than twenty seconds, now I am unable to see twenty feet without specs, have very thin hair and can't walk 100 metres in under two minutes.....they try to tell me its the effects of aging, but I know the real reason......mind you there have been some matches lately, I have been tempted to take my glasses off

    • Usually 15% of capacity unless the police decide otherwise. So should be around 5200 - dependent on the layout of the stadium.  Our official (dry) coaches are departing at 5.20am!

    • Boro flashback 10th December 1988 Boro were back in the 1st division & going well, 2 home defeats so far was testament to the progress we were making as a club going forward, Bruce Rioch had us playing excellent, passing football & this game was certainly the case, he spoke in the morning papers before the game that due to the recent history of Boro v Villa games this one should have been the live match & my was he right, it certainly lived up to it Villa went in to a 2 goal lead, Boro drew level with goals from Mark Brennan his 3rd goal of the season & Gary Hamilton with his 2nd, then, bang, Tony Mowbray scored what we thought would be the winner, from 2 nil down we are 3-2 up & looking formidable going forward, Bernie Slaven thought he had put us 4-2 up but the linesman's flag was up & the goal wrongly disallowed We were to suffer for the linesmans error, as not long from the end Mcanally pushed Cooper out the way & shot past Stephen Pears to bring the scores level Boro 3 Villa 3,  what a game Bruce's team Stephen Pears Gary Parkinson Colin Cooper Tony Mowbray Gary Hamilton Gary Pallister Stuart Ripley Mark Brennan Dean Glover Peter Davenport Mark Burke Sub No12 Bernie Slaven Sub No14 Alan Kernaghan
