Was fairly pleased with Boro's attacking play. We looked a bit static and slow to react at times, when we could have won the ball back, but took our chances when they came. Defensively we're still a mess...but at least we kept our composure to see out the stoppage time and kept pushing for a winner in the closing stages.

Brunners 2,399 Posted November 9, 2019 I thought we'd get beat comfortably so I am absolutely thrilled with that. 2 goals, should have been 3. Probably should have poked home the one at the end that got stuck in Fletchs feet too.Β Think we were the better team for 65-70 minutes of that game. Didn't really give up that many clear cut chances, I'd say 3 or 4 all game, which with Randolph back there is fine IMO.Β Don't think there was a bad performance out there today. TeaCider24 1,613 Posted November 9, 2019 Really enjoyed that game. End to end and both teams could have won it, both teams having bouts of bad luck. Easy to say when he's scored twice, but Assombalonga played very well.
Ash 167 Posted November 9, 2019 2-2 is probably a fair result. Either side could have nicked it. It's positive that we got a couple of goals and played a lot better.

Brunners 2,399 Posted November 9, 2019 Hey guys, as far as moral victories go we won 3-2 because I'm 99.99% sure that Ayala was not offside. π€
wilsoncgp 2,771 Posted November 9, 2019 It certainly helps us when teams insist on playing out from the back against us. When we're on it with the press inΒ those games, we have a chance. The game was so open in the second half of what I watched and we looked like we might make them pay for it a few times, sometimes our passing was still a bit woeful though. Still, another point on the board, positive performance going into the break, take what you can get, look onward to Hull next.
