FM20

Recommended Posts

In all seriousness my laptop can barely run 19, so until I upgrade that 20 is off the cards.

Think 19 improved on certain areas. Scouting and training spring to mind 🙂

Not yet but I plan on it maybe after Christmas. I liked the jump forward they made last season but haven't played it for a good while. How is it?

I haven't really started playing it yet as I just wanted to have a look around it first.  I bought the last few but never played them so it's quite different for me.  What I wanted to know though is if there's a way to make the match viewer completely smooth?  It seems to kind of jump or freeze now and then for some reason.  The last one I played properly, FM14, wasn't like this.

You probably need to upgrade your video card or drivers

I'm certainly no expert but I think all of that stuff is ok.  It's installed on a gaming computer and all of the specs look better than those listed as being required.  This is what my laptop says it has:

Radeon Software Version - 19.11.3
Radeon Software Edition - Adrenalin 2019
Graphics Chipset - Radeon RX 580 Series
Memory Size - 4096 MB
Memory Type - GDDR5
Core Clock - 1077 MHz
Windows Version - Windows 10 (64 bit)
System Memory - 16 GB
CPU Type - AMD Ryzen 7 1700 Eight-Core Processor

Hmm, that should easily be enough to run it smoothly like!

I think I've solved it although I don't know why.  All I did was changed the display to windowed instead of full screen and it seems to work ok?  Cheers for the help.

Yeah I don't know about the latest one but I know that FM19 was fine on my cheap-ish laptop graphics last year. It might be running through integrated CPU graphics rather than the graphics card, which could explain it. I think this is a bit on that with NVIDIA Graphics cards from last year's game, might be a way in your computer's settings to ensure an application uses the graphics card over the CPU, just in case that is happening:

I did right click on my screen and that brought a box up with AMD Radeon stuff and all kinds of things you could change.  Some of them might have been those things so I'll have a look later if I have any more issues.  Cheers mate 👍

Just picked it up cheap from the Darlo FC website.  Now do I see whether I can better Woody or do my usual lowest league tripe to Premier league adventure?

    • I think people are getting carried away in believing NW will build a potential promotional squad next season, were as I believe he is employed to balance the books with bargain bin players for championship sustainability.  I don’t believe NW signed to ensure promotion only then to walk away if it was achieved, because the squad would need to be rebuilt to maintain its position. Like I said I believe his role is to mop up and leave, which makes sense simply because he is not building for the following season and has nothing to prove or answer for, he trots off into retirement, after balancing the books with  a team that can reasonably compete in a league the town can afford.
    • I have watched some higlights different angles from the first Swansea goal .. If the ball doesnt deflect off Spence .. It would be off target across the box
    • I agree with all that but I'm talking about next season rather than this one and the parameters that Warnock may have to work with and in the context of some of the names and amount of new players being suggested on here generally. Not wishing to dampen the enthusiasm in any way but I think there will need to be a harsh new financial reality in football generally and with Boro in particular.  I'm speculating that £12M is the absolute minimum wage bill but SG might be willing to find more funds. A full season without gate income at the Riverside, Bulkhaul hit by Brexit and the Hotel closed for the last 12 months will have had a significant hit. Out of the eleven mentioned, Bettenelli, McNair, Hall, Howson, Saville, Bolasie, Akpom, Fletcher, Kebano, Roberts and Assombalonga, six of them, (Bettenelli, Fletcher, Bolasie, Kebano, Roberts and Assombalonga) won't be there and if in the case of Fletcher for example is here it won't be on the same terms. I'm guessing that Hall is nearer the £10K a week purely from reports around the time of his transfer leaving just McNair, Howson and Saville on the bigger salaries. How much we are contributing to Bolasie, Kebano and Bettenelli's wages at the minute I have no idea but it is probably eye watering.
