When you watch the highlights you'll see that's a of a harsh way to phrase it. He scores a bicycle kick, fires a half volley like an inch wide and has a powerful header saved point blank by Rudd. He h

Et tu DS?! I don't think I'm getting enough credit for this upturn in form. Woodgate hasn't mentioned me once and the Gazette are acting like I don't even exist 😢

😁 another 3 points in the bag with another vocal thread

Preston like a lot of possesion but are failing to do anything with it

We can get a point out of this at the very least, frustrate them and the 3 points are ours 😍

1-0 Boro Howson

Preston have surprised me this season I only realised how well they were doing last week when they were briefly in 3rd place. I do enjoy an away day at Preston it's a proper old school ground.

I think it's definitely a marker for us tomorrow. Hopefully yesterday was a sign of us starting to play the way Woodgate wanted us to play and not a freak performance. I would like us to keep the same team but with so many games in so few days it will be bold to do so and for us to maintain the standard of performance.

I'm going to go 1-1 and Fletcher to get ours.

We'll get beat here

(i'm continuing with reverse psychology after it worked against WBA 😉 )

I think they'll edge it, yeah. We've picked up a good amount of points recently, could forgive a less than desirable performance and result in this one. I suspect we'll be a bit laboured in our attempts after working so hard in the West Brom game and Preston will very much want to start the new year better than how they've ended this one.

Going for 1-0 Preston.

I said 10 points from the last 4 games and this one (got the West Brom defeat and the Swansea defeat the wrong way around) but in that I predicted a draw for Boro v Preston, so I will stick with that. Think Fletch definitely will want to grab another goal and keep this run of form going so I am going with 1-1.

    • Very few to be fair. The odd one whose narrative seems to be that if Gibbo had just turned a blind eye to the blatant rule breaking then none of this would have happened. So it’s his fault. Pretty much every comment on their forum tonight is blaming one person only - and it’s not Gibbo.

    • I would put money that he didn't actually substitute two of the players that were disappointing him at all, because personally I can't see a world in which two of them weren't Tav and Dijksteel. In fact post game I'm sure he even name dropped Dijksteel at the time by saying something to the effect of "one of them is Dijksteel, and he's my favourite!" Now CT has a point and you do have to take everything NW says like this with a huge grain of salt, but I do wonder if he's talking about Tav again here. We've had NW's previous story (excuse?) of Tav doesn't taking warming up seriously, so this doesn't seem like a huge leap.
    • Derby fans blaming Gibson,,,,,,,,Get a grip and smell the coffee. Your Mel Morris is the Be.. end that got you into this mess
    • Christ, that's insane. Professional footballers skipping meals because they CBA to get up? Can this really be true? If so, they're clearly not particularly committed to their profession, or to the club. Any fule kno you need slow-release energy throughout the day, especially if you're an "elite" sportsman. Also interesting that Warnock can tell if someone's had brekky by looking into their eyes. Wonder what else he could tell if he looked at other parts of their anatomy?
