When you watch the highlights you'll see that's a of a harsh way to phrase it. He scores a bicycle kick, fires a half volley like an inch wide and has a powerful header saved point blank by Rudd. He h

Et tu DS?! I don't think I'm getting enough credit for this upturn in form. Woodgate hasn't mentioned me once and the Gazette are acting like I don't even exist 😢

Well well well. Who would have thought we’d get four wins on the spin. Very happy for the players and the manager. Well done to all. Get a few key signings and we might turn the season into a play off battle.

Does anyone know if Warnock is or is not helping out? If not good on Woody.. UTB

There is absolutely no way that warnock would be helping in any significant way and no one to know. He would have been spotted around the training grounds and at the stadium by media. If hes involved at all its merely as an advisor behind the scenes, which I'm sure woody has quite a few of given his contacts in the game.

All the credit is owed to woodgate and his team. Fantastic job.

Reading the live text on the BBC it sounds like we could have had 4 or 5...and Rudy could have had a hat-trick on his own, with better finishing.

We may not have had much posession, but we've been better everywhere it counts...at least thats the impression I'm getting.

Another potential banana skin successfully negotiated with a maximum points haul.

The Boro bandwagon rolls on, with Woody seemingly steering the lads in the right direction. Another great job - well done!

Tav was absolutely unreal today - different class. Love to see Clayton excelling in a two CDM formation once again. Thought Fry had the best game of his season too! Absolutely buzzing.

Up the fcking boro, get in!!!!!

    • Joe bennett is still available on a free. Wonder if Warnock will be tempted the longer Bola is out
    • I suppose if one of those is then injured, then McNair can step into that gap. But personally I'm a little sceptical of his ability to play in a back 4 and I do think we can find better for those positions. Midfield is an interesting point, Warnock has mentioned he likes the 5-2-3, which would probably see McNair deployed on the left of a back 3. But where I see potential for thinking McNair is surplus is in the 4-3-3 (Warnock has said he likes). If that is our go to formation for the season,  judging on the line-ups last season and who we've brought in (and looking to bring in Payero), I'm not sure McNair starts in a 4-3-3. If we go 4-3-3 I reckon we'll see Crooks effectively take up a similar role to what Saville had last season. He'll be encouraged/allowed to step up from midfield (with the ball) and press (without the ball) alongside the lone striker. Think Morsy will be a starter most games and we know Howson is one of Warnock's favourites. With Payero coming in, Wing potentially staying (obviously he may yet leave) and a few younger lads (Malley, Hackney) around the squad, I can see why the suggestion McNair is a sellable asset comes into consideration.
    • I think the FA are in talks about how the whole thing is going to work. The Government want a vaccine passport style system for another events over 20k (I believe). Whereas the FA/EFL/Premier League aren't wanting that.
    • BL did everything in his power to persuade the Montenegrin hitman to link up with Warny, but in the end the cultural flair of Berlin proved too much.    So close yet so far
