Lucky to get a point really, don't think we deserved anything from that game.

I missed the 1st half, but we were thoroughly worth a point based on the second half. Our attacking play wasn't great but Birmingham were almost non existent until that final few minutes.

Ahhh I think we deserved a point. Well done for coming back under difficult circumstances and very low on energy.

well I think we did actually, we did look pretty good untill we missed the penalty and both injuries. Then I think they tried to ride the game out second half, but that cost them

If we were concerned about a head injury for Tav then he shouldn't have been allowed back on by our medical staff.

Yeah, that's really worrying that we deemed him able to continue.

What a crazy game. It had everything really. My heart was certainly racing for the final 10 mins. Players were visibly drained and we really missed Coulson on the left and Roberts trickery after he went off.

They might need to grab a Biffa bin from round the back and fill it with ice as I don't think we have enough ice baths for all the injured!

Sounds like we got away with that one...a fortunate point. Missed a penalty, Brum having a goal chalked off, a crap ref and a generally underwhelming performance.

Hope to god Woody knocks a few heads together (after he's given the poor lambs a few days off) and maybe makes them watch replays of the games during our winning streak...just to remind them how good they can be, when they put their minds to it.

Should have been a win, but all things considered, a point isn't so bad.

    • I know a few years back it was £8 Million, then each season it would reduce by about £2 million. But it looks like it may have gone full circle and gone back to £8 Million. But that may have been under the old FFP system rather than the fairly newish Profit and Sustainability.
    • Yes, but Red Bull are are selling to end users. One way or another they will spend a lot of money to advertise to consumers. Therefore they can spend a lot of the marketing budget in promoting the club as long as they can show they might have to spend  a similar amount if they were  sponsoring another football club. Equally if they can show another similar company to them would spend that kind of money on football sponsorship, then they would be OK. Bulkhaul are selling to other companies and probably don’t need to advertise their services very much, so cannot justify a large spend on the front of football shirts - it wouldn’t be economic for that type of company to advertise to consumers. None of the big football sponsors are companies that don’t sell to consumers either directly or via retailers.
    • Don’t think it has changed. A club is allowed to “lose” £5m per year and on top of that, if the owner injects funds they can lose whatever he injects, up to another £8m. Therefore if the owner injects the maximum of £8m in cash, the club can lose £13m. As the assessment is over 3 year rolling period, the total losses have to be less than £39m over the three seasons. If you break even for two years in a row, then you could lose £39m in next year and still be OK. Remember however that the £39m loss  would then be included as part of the total calculation for the two subsequent seasons, so you would have to break even for those as well. All  those figures ignore the cost of operating your academy  and one or two other small items, but include both  income from  and expenditure on transfer fees as associated costs such as agent fees etc.
    • You can sponsor your club from your own company but you have to make it a fair amount.  If they believe that you're overpaying then that's when they will have issues.  From Gibson's point of view, as he's already funding the club then it probably seems pointless having Bulkhaul as a sponsor as well.
