No we are not. It’s eyes wide open...

Clearly not or we would have changed things long ago ...

Yet again, unbearable to watch. Most of us gave Woody a chance and wanted him to do well but now is the time for him to go or we are going to get relegated.

BBC Tees need to sack Neil Maddison while we're at it. Utterly clueless waste of space who always finds some way to stick up for this trash every single game.

We’ve been drifting backwards ever since Karanka left. We need to stop it before we end up in League One.

He took a difficult situation, and made it impossible!

Lampard and Gerard went straight into management and have done extremely well, but they are much more intelligent with very good tactical awareness - and were as players as well. Woodgate needed an experienced DofF to learn off, and really needed to build skills at a much lower level first.

Terry is taking a sensible approach and will do okay as a manager when he steps up on his own, but is unlikely to be a top manager.

Rather than Pulis, who'd have Aitor back right now? I know I would...

Shame the only man who can make such a decision probably wouldn't.

Out of pure interest in an entirely hypothetical scenario, who would take Pulis right now to get us out of this trouble if it meant they stayed until at least the end of next season? Let's say, for arguments sake, that money wasn't an issue and somehow he agreed to work on a cut price.

I'd have him in a heatbeat...either him or Warnock (over Woodgate anyway).

At least those guys have a management style and know what they want their players to do. They also know how to exert authority.

Seems like Woodgate expects everything to just work by magic without him having to do anything.

We can't afford Karanka.

I would love Aitor back won't happen as Gibson fell out with him as he actually demanded that the boro tried to be succesful

Remember when people kept saying we shouldn't waste any money on certain players on loan because we "aren't going up but aren't going down"?

Yes because he is employed by the club, biased as hell!

    • Great news OMG it will be good to keep the PL going it's a great feature and good fun. MM you underplay you're efforts, fantastic job for the last few seasons, I'm sure on behalf of the forum a big thank you for all your hard work and frequent updates. I hope you continue to take part.
    • Are we ready for a relegation battle? No. Are we more ready for a relegation battle than the teams around us (which is perhaps the more important question)? Time will tell. I have my concerns, though. Charlton in particular came out of pre-season much more strongly than we did, and we are kind of restarting the season again after another preseason.  I'm not confident that Woodgate has the managerial experience to get us to be where we need to be in terms of preparation and match sharpness by the end of this mid-season preseason.
    • My worry is our goalscoring, if teams get in front we'll then struggle & with the new rules of 5 subs per game teams will just kill games We are as bad as the other 5, 6 teams at the wrong end with not much breathing space between us all, whoever starts late in the mini bottom league will go down  Defensively we're fine, IMHO,
    • Didn’t realise Taylor was 30. Thought he was a young up-and-coming
    • Agree. I think a lower end PL team will take a punt on him as a 2nd or 3rd choice striker. They got little to lose. Free transfer and if they offer him even 15k it will probs triple his current wages.
