Boro v Brighton - Boro Watchalong.

Recommended Posts

I remember sitting in a pub in the Algarve that had a load of different games in TV for that 8-1 game. Was with my dad and brother, next to a bunch of united fans (were playing Wigan who were just above us going into that final weekend). Drunkenly said to one of them that I'll get a round of shots in for every goal they put past Wigan, and one of their group chimed in that he'd do the same every time we scored.

Safe to say I got the better deal

Watching the unconditional love and adoration got steve gibson back then during the trophy presentation makes it even more sad how things have gone in recent years. Unbelievable scenes

Dimi was never the best shot stopper but I think he is arguably one of the best keepers with crosses. Everything he went for he generally seemed to claim comfortably. I think he deserved that game aga

I was over for that game and was even lucky enough to stick a few quid on Boro to win 4-1. Got 25/1 on it. Very happy days

After their 2nd goal my mate wanted to leave and go to the Navvy, I said ok we’ll go if we don’t score before half time, thankfully Maccarone got our first otherwise we would have missed one of the most incredible come backs in football history, my favourite Boro match of all time and I still can picture turning back to look at the stadium and hear all the singing well after the final whistle, only later did I here Ali Brownlee’s commentary which has to go down as legendary

The team shape and decision making of our team is great to watch. It’s like chalk and cheese compared to how we have played in recent years. If only them good times lasted for a bit longer.

Just tuned in, that Stephens challenge on Gaston was dirt. Still can't believe it was not going to be a red until the players pointed out the hole in his leg!

Imagine we had kept hold of karanka and gotten rid of the couple of players hed fallen out with instead. Wed probably have bounced right back up with the war chest that was given to monk and been living the high life in the premier league ever since.
