OldManGravz 1,311
I remember sitting in a pub in the Algarve that had a load of different games in TV for that 8-1 game. Was with my dad and brother, next to a bunch of united fans (were playing Wigan who were just above us going into that final weekend). Drunkenly said to one of them that I'll get a round of shots in for every goal they put past Wigan, and one of their group chimed in that he'd do the same every time we scored. Safe to say I got the better deal
Barticus 29
After their 2nd goal my mate wanted to leave and go to the Navvy, I said ok we’ll go if we don’t score before half time, thankfully Maccarone got our first otherwise we would have missed one of the most incredible come backs in football history, my favourite Boro match of all time and I still can picture turning back to look at the stadium and hear all the singing well after the final whistle, only later did I here Ali Brownlee’s commentary which has to go down as legendary
Denzel Zanzibar 6,931
I think the match I'd love to see most would be the last league game at Ayresome Park Vs Luton Town. I was at the match and recorded it onto VHS but over the years the quality has sadly become unwatchable.
boro-unger 3,817
Boro v Brighton today at 12:30. What a day that was. Hopefully I won't be as nervous watching it this time as last!
smogsterking the Inspirati 2,453
Who'd have thought the teams would be where they are now after that game 😢
boro-unger 3,817
What a team we had then. No wonder we got promoted!
TeaCider24 12,403
I can't believe how annoying the commentators are. So glad I was actually at the match.
p_mards 1,363
The team shape and decision making of our team is great to watch. It’s like chalk and cheese compared to how we have played in recent years. If only them good times lasted for a bit longer.
TeaCider24 12,403
We had so many chances in that first half to put it out of sight.
SouthernSmoggie 4,223
What a game. Atmosphere was so electric that day. Basically a play-off final on our own turf. Really took it for granted how good that team was. Not much has really gone right since that game!
TeaCider24 12,403
That Dale Stephens looks like the Tiger King.
boroie 484
Just tuned in, that Stephens challenge on Gaston was dirt. Still can't believe it was not going to be a red until the players pointed out the hole in his leg!
smogsterking the Inspirati 2,453
Dimi was never the best shot stopper but I think he is arguably one of the best keepers with crosses. Everything he went for he generally seemed to claim comfortably. I think he deserved that game against Liverpool in the last game of the season it's a shame Agnew thought otherwise.

Neverbefore 10,695
Imagine we had kept hold of karanka and gotten rid of the couple of players hed fallen out with instead. Wed probably have bounced right back up with the war chest that was given to monk and been living the high life in the premier league ever since.
