Enes Mahmutovic, Luxembourg international, was born on 22 May 1997 in the former Yugoslavian city of Peja.

In 2014, he signed his first senior contract with seven-time Luxembourg National Division winners CS Fola Esch. After he played 33 games for the team in the space of three years and won the Luxembourg title with his club in 2014/2015 season, he joined Middlesbrough FC for an undisclosed fee in May 2017.

Enes was injured for a significant part of the 2017/2018 season, managing to play just 12 games for the U23s all season.

Also, his loan move to Yeovil in the summer of 2018 and the first day of January 2019 could not be tagged as a successful one as he failed to make an impression his team playing just 4 times for the Glovers. On his return to Boro, he played eight games for the U23s before the end of the season.

On 1 July 2019, Mahmutovic joined MVV Maastricht of the Dutch Eerste Divisie on loan until the end of the season.
