Lewis Wing was born on 23 May 1995 in Newton Aycliffe. He began his football career at neighbouring club Newton Aycliffe FC before moving to Seaham Red Star Football Club in 2015. After a prolific 2015/2016 season with the Seaham based side, he moved to Shildon AFC.

The 2016/2017 season was even better in terms of the number of goals he scored, netting 37 times for his Amateur League based team. 

The attacking midfielder joined Middlesbrough FC on a free transfer on 28 June 2017. He became an integral part of the U21s scoring 5 goals in 11 games before he joined Yeovil Town in January to enable him to play first-team football. 

He returned to Boro at the end of the season, having scored 3 goals in 22 appearances.
