Patrick Reading

The Scottish U21 international hails from Newcastle. The left-back joined Middlesbrough FC as an Under-13 prodigy and rose through the ranks before signing a professional contract with the club in April 2017.

This was a reward for his sensational form with the U23s where he played 22 games and registered 5 assists while playing either at left-back or centre back positions.

For Reading, 2017/2018 was equally as good as the previous season, as he played 22 games for the Reserves and scored twice and assisted two goals. After a similarly impressive 2018/2019 season where he made 17 appearances for the U23s, the left-back would hope for more chances with the first team this coming season.
