The tall centre forward was born on 12 October 1999 in Grange Town, England. He joined Middlesbrough FC on scholarship in 2016 and somewhat impressed with a return of 6 goals in 30 U18 games.
The following season saw him feature more for the U23s, which improved his overall gameplay. That season, he netted 8 goals in the 29 games he played.
On 9 November 2018, he went on a brief loan spell at National League outfit Hartlepool FC, playing 5 games and scoring once in the space of six weeks.
On his return to Middlesbrough FC, he returned to the teams Under 23 set up where he regularly featured until the end of the season.
Tyrone O’Neill was part of the Middlesbrough team that won its first-ever game in the Checkatrade (Football League) Trophy, 1-0 at Burton on November 7, 2018.
